Terveen Gill is a versatile author and writer who has had the pleasure of growing up on two different continents. Superb stuff, Terveen, as always. I left a comment over at Gobblers, but wanted to mention that this story has special meaning today here in the States as we go to the polls to determine if we’ll remain a democracy or fall to a bunch of fascist lunatics. Your story’s take on human nature is spot-on. Is there any hope left for us as a species? At least here in the States, I’ll have an answer to that after the polls close… Thanks for sharing, my friend.

Seems like aggression is the root of it all. Several terms could be appropriate.
Certainly. Both parties in the US are wicked. They are two heads feeding the same stomach. In my opinion, support of either side is a reflection of blind submission. But the use of fascist, nazi, commie, groomer, etc. from either side does nothing more than promote the division and hatred that people claim to be against. Which is why I felt compelled to respond to Mike’s comment.

I feel the sentiment behind your words, Mike. The world appears to be falling apart and thanks to everyone involved lacking logic, understanding, decency, and humility. If progress isn’t coupled with positive intent, then it’s just a free-for-all. I suppose people are so attuned to not using their brains that even when they want to, they don’t know how to. Hatred and subjugation are taking the lead in this doomed race. I appreciate your honest sharing. Hang in there. We must. 🙂
Once again, Terveen, you have managed to get so many twists and turns in so few words. Is it a thank you letter? a deception? a job well done? (from the Devil). What is happening in the world today makes me feel there would not be a detention centre big enough to hold the callousness.

half way through I knew what was coming but it is still a devilishly clever piece; the only piece that I can recall that is anything likeit is The Stones’ ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ from ‘Beggars Banquet’ ’68, another devilishly clever piece 🙂
