My favorite look into an author’s mind comes from Somerset Maugham, delivered with typical British aplomb: “There are three rules for writing a great novel; unfortunately, no one knows what they are.”
Very interesting introduction page, a woman of many talents. I was drawn immediately to your short movie, this is the second time I watched it. I love the movie. It is profound message, incredibly well done getting the point across so emphatically. My mom killed herself in a car with anti-depressants. I appreciate you making this film as if it saves even one person from taking this choice it will be a blessing to that person’s family. Losing a child is something I can’t begin to imagine but I think that child would want their parents to keep moving forward. Beautifully done. xoxoxo Joni
Thank you so much, Joni. I can’t tell you how much your comment means to me. I’m sorry that you had to go through so much while growing up. It’s devastating for a child to be subjected to an unstable and disturbing life. I wish adults would think twice while making choices especially when they are responsible for another, tender life. Mental health is a subject very dear to me. I can vouch for the difficulties one must face. You are a lovely and strong person. Lots of love, peace and joy to you. π
Thank you Terveen. You are so right about children growing up in abusive homes or in homes where there is simply no stability or even safety. I am excited to watch more of your movies. I certainly applaud you for making a difference. Mental health issues long ago were not treated often and those suffering from some form of horrifying symptoms of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, for example, had little help. I am grateful that more attention is paid to those who suffer from illnesses that are not their fault. Lots of love, peace and joy to you. π€β€οΈ
Just watched a couple of your short films on Youtube. Surprised to note that you do everything on your own, with just an iPhone π Saw a different side of your work there, with your message oriented films. Great work Terveen.
That’s really nice of you, Vignesh. I appreciate that you took out the time. And I wish there were at least two more of me so that I could have some help to put more films out there. Haha. π
Intrigued… haha.. more to read.
What a gorgeous website! Amazed by your writing skills.
Thank you so much! Means a lot. π
