Terveen Gill is a versatile author and writer who has had the pleasure of growing up on two different continents. Having spent her childhood years in the United States, she returned to India, and has since been living in Chandigarh, a beautiful city in North India. Choosing engineering as her path, she obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. However, paths are discovered only to be changed. Thats true, most of us are scared to even think about it. The stories though face no such barriers allowing writers (like you) to go beyond and use their imagination to concoct such interesting tales!!
Yes, the body cannot be recovered. Poor dear. That is heartbreaking. Our mind can be fixated in such a goal of futility. It is so true and so disturbing. Sometimes it reminds me of immigrants who keep their old world views no matter how much they contradict with the new world life they are living in right now. No change. We stick with the plan we formed when we grew up. End of discussion.
That’s the truth, Haoyan. So many are busy satisfying and achieving redundant and futile goals. But then, the heart often doesn’t understand logic or necessity. I believe thinking can be changed but only if we really desire it. And societal restrictions and complacencies rule the norms for many. Thank you always for your lovely and thoughtful comments. 🙂

Back in 2016(when I was 16), one of my coaching friend asked the other, “what do you wanna do before you die”
He replied: “I wanna die before I die”
It was a sort of joke but made me think a lot.
I agree with you, Tanishq, it makes one think. I think many of us aren’t really living. It’s like passing time before one actually dies. Why are there so many limitations to the way life should be lived? Why not set new patterns and carve new paths? It takes a lot of courage and strength. But let’s be dead only when we die. 🙂
I knew someone who did this, not to solicit attendees for her own funeral, but as a way to supplement her actor salary.
She was a part-time professional mourner (they’re called moirologists) and she even dragged me along one time to see if it was something I’d be interested in. It wasn’t, but she put on a good show, though.
If I was thinking ahead, I would have kept in touch with her and paid her fee up front for my own funeral service.
Oh well.
First, I’m going to reprimand you for such morbid talk, Rhyan. I think you have better things to think about than your own funeral. And there are people doing bizarre and uncommon things. We can only watch, appreciate, and move on to our next gig. And that better be writing more great stories, mister. I’m watching you. 🙂
